Royal Society of Chemistry

The Royal Society of Chemistry’s Outreach Fund provides financial support to members, individuals and organisations to run chemistry-based public and schools engagement activities that inspire the next generation to choose chemistry and view a career as a technician in a new light. The dedicated technician support team can support applicants in developing an application to provide novel outreach activities and engage the public and schools in chemical sciences.

Those in professional categories of membership, or who are professionally registered, are eligible for the RSC’s mentoring scheme. As well as helping mentees gain greater self-confidence, self-belief and achieve greater clarity around their career goals and how to achieve them, mentors also gain valuable experience and an opportunity for their own professional development. In addition, the RSC’s team of qualified career and professional development advisers offer confidential one-to-one advice and information to help with every aspect of managing a career.
