Step 2: Dim the lights…

 

The right lighting in a theatre production can bring a production to life. Lighting colour schemes, brightness, timing can create and dissipate moods, change night to day, and reveal plots and staging at the right moment for maximum impact. Along with a lighting designer, a lighting technician makes this magic happen.

 

How can I become a Lighting Technician? 

 

Think this could be the role for you? There are many pathways to becoming a Lighting Technician.

If you’re coming up to 16 you could study an applied general qualification or do an apprenticeship in Media, Broadcast and Production.
